Goddess Running Tour

After the redemption half marathon last month, I’ve been itching to get the runner’s high off a big race. Since the NWM isn’t until mid-October, I’ve been looking into different races of a shorter distance to keep up the spirit of running. There’s something about the energy in the air at the start line that is so contagious and invigorating! … As long as the training stays on track, injury free, and my legs/ankles stay healthy here are the races I plan to run the rest of this year and into 2011:

July 11, 2010: MLB All Star Charity 5k Run (Anaheim, CA)
September 5, 2010: Disneyland Half Marathon (Anaheim, CA)
October 17, 2010: Nike Women’s Marathon (San Francisco, CA)
December 5, 2010: Las Vegas Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon (Las Vegas, NV)
January 16, 2011: Arizona Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon (Phoenix, AZ)
February 6, 2011: Surf City USA Half Marathon (Huntington Beach, CA)

As you can see, it looks like the half marathon is my kinda race! :) The distance is long enough to feel accomplished and my legs are still intact and attached to my torso. Both times I ran a half marathon, my body felt great at the finish line and was willing to go on for a few more miles. Insane, but true! (Maybe the marathon will become my race? Hahaha! Can’t help being an optimist, huh?) For now, I’m gonna stick to what I know – the half marathon.

  1. Wow, ambitious! Good luck! I wish my knee wasn't giving in, or I'd be running more races than 3 per year... My first (and probably last) marathon will be at the Long Beach one this October. Haven't really been able to train for it recently due to the knee hurting so bad.
