Christmas in July!

With much awaited anticipation, my Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS watch arrived today!! Even though I knew exactly what was in the Road Runner box, opening it was like Christmas and my birthday all rolled up into one. (My sisters will attest how much I LOVE buying myself gifts! haha!) I've been wanting to invest in this particular GPS watch for a while, but I had to be financially responsible and made sure I did the research on the watch since it's a newly released product. I also had to make sure I had the fun funds for a new gadget :) This running hobby has slowly put a big hole in my wallet. Between paying for race registrations, running gear, and gadgets, I've had to force myself to set a tighter budget this running hobby to avoid buying dry fit tank tops in every color :) ...  There are countless reasons why I wanted THIS GPS watch - to log the accuracy of my long runs, help me w/ the interval training and pacing, it's user friendly w/ a good face size for my tiny wrist, and it has the flare of running goddess PINK!

Now that I finally have the watch on my wrist, I'm super excited to wake up early tomorrow morning and go for a run before work! This is great timing b/c this weekend I have the MLB Charity 5K run and I'm also planning on a long run along the Newport Back Bay. Stay tuned for my user review on the Garmin Forerunner 110 ...
